The NORTH Coffee Grinder 100 g grinds beans in seconds. Here you will find help with use, grind size and cleaning.
How to use
- Before first use: Remove the lid, lift out the steel cup and wipe the cup and lid with a damp cloth.
- Place the steel cup in the grinder and add beans. Do not fill above the MAX line inside the cup (max. 100 g).
- Fit the lid and plug in. The grinder only runs when the cup and lid are fitted correctly.
- Press the lid down to grind and release to stop. As a guide: about 5 sec. for a cafetière, 10 sec. for pour-over, 20 sec. for a filter machine and 30 sec. for espresso.
- Grind for no more than 90 seconds at a time and wait at least 2 minutes before grinding again.
- Wait until the blade has stopped completely and unplug before removing the lid and pouring out the coffee.
- Cleaning: Unplug. Wipe the cup and lid with a damp cloth and wipe the outside of the motor base. Never put the motor base in water.
Questions and answers
The grinder does not start.
Check that it is plugged in and that the steel cup and lid are fully in place. The safety switch only lets the grinder run when it is assembled correctly.
The grinder stops while grinding.
The motor has overheat protection. Unplug and let the grinder cool down for 20 to 30 minutes.
How do I get finer coffee?
Grind for longer, but no more than 90 seconds at a time. A shorter time gives coarser coffee.
Can I grind anything other than coffee?
Yes, dry foods such as spices and seeds. Do not grind fresh fruit, vegetables, meat or wet ingredients, and remove hard shells and stones first.
