NORTH Crepe Maker, 37 cm plate, 1500 W
The NORTH Crepe Maker has a 37 cm non-stick plate, an adjustable thermostat and indicator lights. A batter spreader and spatula are included.
How to use
- Before first use: remove all packaging, wipe the plate with a damp cloth and place the appliance on a flat, heat-resistant surface.
- Plug in. The red light comes on. Turn the thermostat to max and let it heat for about 10 minutes. A little smoke and smell is normal the first time. Ventilate the room.
- Turn to 0, unplug, let it cool and wipe the plate again. It is now ready to use.
- Choose a temperature with the thermostat and wait until the light turns green.
- Pour a ladle of batter into the centre of the plate. Quickly dip the spreader in water and spread the batter thinly in circles from the centre outwards, without pressing.
- Turn the crêpe with the spatula after about 45 seconds, and lift it off after about another 45 seconds.
Questions and answers
How much batter should I use?
About one ladle. The batter should cover around 2/3 of the plate before spreading and must not run over the edge. Adjust the amount for the next crêpe.
How do I make crêpes darker or lighter?
Turn the thermostat up or down, or cook for a longer or shorter time. The higher the setting, the darker the crêpes.
What do the lights mean?
Red means the appliance is switched on. Green means the plate has reached temperature and is ready.
Can I use metal utensils?
No. Sharp objects and metal utensils damage the non-stick coating. Use the spatula supplied and never cut the crêpe on the plate.
How do I clean it?
Unplug and let it cool. Wipe the plate and base with a damp cloth, with a little mild detergent if needed. Never use scouring pads or steel wool, and never put the base in water. Wash the spreader and spatula in soapy water and dry them.
