NORTH Slow Juicer, 200 W, 120 mm feed chute
The NORTH Slow Juicer presses fresh juice from fruit and vegetables. Here you will find help with assembly, use and cleaning. Always read the enclosed user manual before first use.
How to use
- Before first use: Unpack all parts and wash the removable parts (juicing chamber, auger, strainer, lid, food pusher and containers) in warm water with a little washing-up liquid. Rinse and leave to dry.
- Assemble the juicer: Place the juicing chamber on the motor base, insert the strainer and auger, and turn the lid until it locks. Place the juice container under the juice outlet and the pulp container under the pulp outlet.
- Prepare the ingredients: Rinse fruit and vegetables. Remove large stones and hard peel (for example pineapple, melon and citrus fruit). Many small fruits fit whole in the 120 mm feed chute; cut larger ingredients into pieces.
- Make juice: Switch on the juicer and add the ingredients a little at a time. Only push them down with the food pusher supplied.
- If something gets stuck: Switch off, run the reverse function briefly, then switch on again.
- Clean straight after use: Switch off and unplug. Take the parts apart, rinse them under running water and clean the strainer with the cleaning brush. Wipe the motor base with a damp cloth.
Questions and answers
What is the difference between a slow juicer and a centrifugal juicer?
A slow juicer presses the ingredients slowly with an auger instead of shredding them with a fast-spinning blade. This creates less heat and foam and helps preserve flavour and nutrients.
Why am I only getting a little juice?
Add the ingredients a little at a time and do not press too hard with the food pusher. Soft fruits such as banana and avocado give little juice and are better suited to smoothies. Also check that the strainer is not clogged.
The ingredients get stuck. What should I do?
Switch off the juicer and use the reverse function for a few seconds. If that does not help, switch off, unplug and remove the ingredients before starting again with smaller pieces.
How do I get the strainer completely clean?
Rinse the strainer straight after use, before fruit residue dries on, and use the cleaning brush. See the user manual for which parts are dishwasher safe.
