NORTH Dual Tamper 54 & 58 mm
Calibrated coffee tamper with two interchangeable bases in 54 mm and 58 mm. The calibrated spring delivers a consistent 12 kg of pressure every time.
How to use
- Choose the base that fits your portafilter: 54 mm or 58 mm.
- Screw the base onto the handle clockwise until it is firmly tightened.
- Fill the basket with ground coffee and distribute it so the surface is level.
- Place the tamper on the coffee so the collar rests flat on the rim of the basket.
- Press straight down with even pressure. The calibrated spring delivers a consistent 12 kg.
- Lift the tamper off and brew your espresso.
- Wipe the base clean after use.
Questions and answers
Which base fits my machine?
The 54 mm base fits 54 mm portafilters, for example from Sage, Breville, Solis and Gastroback. The 58 mm base fits 58 mm portafilters, for example from Gaggia, Rancilio, Lelit, Rocket, ECM, Profitec and La Marzocco.
How do I change the base?
Hold the handle and turn the attached base counter-clockwise to unscrew it. Then screw the other base on clockwise until it is firmly tightened.
How hard should I press?
Simply press straight down. The calibrated spring delivers a consistent 12 kg of pressure every time, so there is no guesswork.
Is the tamper dishwasher safe?
No. Hand wash only and do not use abrasive cleaners. Keep the internal spring mechanism dry.
